This piece was inspired by the world pandemic and her personal isolation. In this portrait Yuliya sees not only every woman, girl, mother, sister, nurse, but humanity as one. It reflects both personal restraint, isolation, wearing a mask as a symbol of caring for the well-being of others, and at the same time, restrained means that we are “tied up” in this uncertainty, physically and mentally.
