Yuliya Dan for British RedCross and Leaps & Grounds

As a part of City Vistas project and Culture Mile in collaboration with Artiq, Yuliya created a painting "Empathy Has No Borders" for British RedCross' Leaps & Grounds, that was turned into a 4x4m mural and installed at:

44 Moorfields, London, EC2Y 9AL for the public to visit.

Leaps & Grounds is a specialty coffee social enterprise that supports refugee women by offering specialty barista training and that first vital step on the career ladder. New York Gala for Together1Heart

Charity Gala to raise funds for the foundation. Yuliya's painting "Ophelia" was auctioned off and all the funds went into supporting girls in Cambodia.

"Nothing humbles me more than to stand along these extraordinary, strong smart, inspiring women, who've dedicated their lives to saving girls and women from slavery. While Sina shared her story, how she was sex trafficked herself, kept in a dark room and raped, I didn't see a victim, all I could see was a survivor, who've changed her live and so many others. When Somaly mentioned that they recently saved a 22 months old baby, you could hear the whole room gasp, and my heart dropped. AnnaLynne McCord told her story, and spoke about all the girls Somaly saved "7000 and one" she added, as she was one of them. Then Susan Sarandon spoke about love, strong women, troublesome times, and closed with "You don't forget the past, but you can move forward". It was the most emotional evening. Filled with love, horror, truth and hope. " Y. D.

ART FOR HEART

“Through series of beautiful images, art prints, paintings and “wear art” pendants, I hope to create an Art for Heart campaign that will bring funds, awareness and  support of T1H foundation.

I believe that women and girls cannot and must not be traded and treated as if they were objects. Liberty   should not be a privilege, but a basic human right“.

Pre-launch of Yuliya Dan's FEMMANIA project - art show. Through studying and redefining female sexuality, she began to shape a practical philosophy, which is the central theme of her art: What it really means to be "HER" in a post-feminist, oversexed, yet asexual worl.

Seekd is a wonderful platform that proves that fashion could and should be ethical.

Goldsmiths' being the lead UK charity for the professional of goldsmiths was a perfect fit."
